R.S.P.C.A

The poorly Cygnet that was taken into the care of the R.S.P.C.A, and was looked after by the 'Swan Rescue Centre', Crew, Cheshire. The Cygnet is now strong and healthy and is ready to be released back into the wild.

The R.S.P.C.A invited me to photograph the day, the photography was going to highlight the awareness of the very valuable work of the 'Aberconwy Branch' R.S.P.C.A.

Unfortunately because of the horrendous weather conditions, I was unable to document the day.

Kelly the 'Veterinary Nurse' and her assistant Sue decided to release the cygnet at the 'Spinnies', 'Aberogwen Nature Reserve' which is renowned for its colony of Swans.

I sat in the back of the car and stroked the cygnets head to keep him calm all the way to the Aberogwen Reserve, the day was very special, for they have been my heart for the last three years.

The Cygnet was successfully released back into the wild and is going to be closely monitored.

The R.S.P.C.A have touched my heart, for they are very special people!
